My Father’s Curse Chapter 3 “The Inferno”

      I woke up with a start; the smell of smoke filled the room. I jumped out of bed and ran out the door. I looked over the balcony and saw the inferno, I couldn’t believe it… the keep was on fire. People were running around trying to quench the flames. There were corpses scattered around the floor. I ran down the stars looking for someone who could tell me what was going on, debris was falling from the ceiling and people were desperately trying to escape. I ran from room to room looking for anyone who was left.
